I’m Peter Tedeschi.
My wife, Kathy and I are lifelong residents of the South Shore. I’m the former President and CEO of Tedeschi Food Shops. I’m a husband, father, and grandfather, and I’m running for Congress.
Running for office is an opportunity for me to give back to an area that I am proud to call home, and one that has allowed my family – starting with my immigrant grandparents – to realize the American Dream.
During my tenure as CEO at Tedeschi’s, I’m proud that we were named the national convenience store chain of the year and as Best Buddies employer of the year, for being a leader in employing adults with developmental disabilities. I proudly serve on the executive board of Friendship Home, another wonderful organization committed to supporting young adults with disabilities in our South Shore communities.
My experiences – as an entrepreneur, executive, and member of this community – have prepared me to serve the 9th District. I’m also running because, like many of you, I’m deeply concerned with what I see on Capitol Hill today.
Too many of our elected officials are focused on doing the bidding of their party and special interests, rather than the work of the people.
My opponent has been in office 41 years, and is the most partisan member of our delegation. I vow to work in a bipartisan way, and deliver results for our area.
I believe in term limits, and have signed a pledge to serve no more than three terms in Congress. I will strive to refocus members of congress on doing the work of the people.
I want to go to D.C. to support our small businesses, secure resources for law enforcement, invest in our infrastructure, tackle the opioid epidemic, and be a partner to our Governor, Charlie Baker, whose endorsement I am proud to have earned.
I’m Peter Tedeschi. I’m running for Congress to put people first,
and I would appreciate your vote on November 6.
