When I Pay That Debt, I Can Get Back To LibertyAndProsperity.com And Work On Fixing This Problem.
Last week, someone paid to work for GOP US Senate candidate Bob Hugin told me this story:

I responded to a Craigslist ad in September. I didn’t hear anything from the Hugin campaign until the Sunday before the election. They told me I would be a “challenger” in Town X.  

(Years ago, it was common for candidates to have “challengers” at each polling place during Election Day.   They reminded supporters to get to the polls, and “challenged” people who tried to vote illegally.   Today, such “challengers” are almost useless because of early/mail-in voting, “progressive” judges, and lack of voter ID.  “Community Organizers” like Craig Callaway instead “harvest” far more votes out in the neighborhoods for weeks before Election Day.)

I went to the Local Campaign Headquarters on Monday, (the day before the election), to pick up my credentials and find out exactly what they wanted me to do.

Nobody had a clue.  They then gave me credentials to be a challenger in Town X and Town Y (10 miles away).

They did not give a list of voters to check off or any plan to bring supporters to the polls.  I did not see or hear from anyone from the Hugin campaign.   They were so disorganized, I honestly did not expect to ever get paid.  However, I did get my check from them several weeks later. Obviously, the money was not properly used.
Help Me Pay Down Debt
I heard stories like this since weeks before the election.   They explain why Bob Hugin did so poorly even though he spent $36 million. This fake “Get-Out-The-Vote Drive” or “Ground Game” is why Tom MacArthur, Jay Webber, and I failed to pick up those extra votes we needed to win our races for Congress. This is why many good Republican candidates have been losing winnable races in New Jersey for years.

The NJEA Teacher’s Union, most Unions, and dozens of radical left “community organizing” groups all sponsor non-profit, “non-political”, tax-exempt “education” organizations to help their candidates win elections.  They teach candidates and their campaign workers how to “harvest” votes under the new election laws.

Republican groups rarely do this.   Most Republican candidates instead spend lots of money on consultants who know little or nothing about this. Instead of working developing relationships with local voters year after year, these consultants show up a few months before the election, and leave right afterwards.   They hire random people online to be their campaign workers the way the phone company used to hire people to deliver phone books.  There is little accountability.  These consultants and the people they hire are paid the same whether or not their candidates win or lose.

Because of some unexpected expenses, and donations that had to be returned during the last two weeks of the campaign, I ended up with roughly $14,000 of unpaid bills on Election Day.  Thanks to generous contributions I got during the past month, that debt is now down to $7,000.   Please help me pay the rest.
