Ehrlich, Jr, the 60th Governor of Maryland and former U.S. Representative for Maryland’s District 2 (1995-2003).
Before the extreme partisan gerrymandering in 2002, District 2 was represented by strong, pragmatic republicans. U.S. Representatives Helen Bentley and Bob Ehrlich advocated for economic sustainability and life affirming capitalism throughout their tenures.
Though Marylanders are aware of the 2011 redistricting, Congressional District 2 was specifically carved out a decade before specifically for the now 33-year career politician Dutch Ruppersberger. The Liz Matory campaign is the best way to tackle such injustice head-on. See Below for the pictures of the drastic shift in jurisdiction.
In less than a month, voters in District 2 have an opportunity to decide who should represent them.

If you haven’t heard yet, there is a mass exodus happening of citizens leaving the Democrat Party. Per usual, there is not much press coverage and the social media outlets are suppressing the feeds, particularly on Facebook. Despite the ongoing censorship, it’s happening and now there is a #Blexit, Black people leaving the Democrat Party!!! Even though I left in 2015, I identify wholeheartedly with the mindset and the heartbreak that fellow former dems have expressed throughout this past year. Chante and I captured my firsthand account in our 2016 book, Born Again Republican (available on Amazon). This book marked some of the first fractures within my family, but most of those members did not bother to even read the book. Over the weekend, a few of my campaign volunteers wanted to go down to walk in solidarity with the Walk Away marchers. They even made signs for me and encouraged me to connect with folks. There were several District 2 residents and we met new volunteers! All of this is still a bit overwhelming, but I’m excited to be a part of history. I’m sure you’ve received a bunch of emails today about the Filing Deadline for Federal Elections, but may I make another ask for support. Unlike our lifelong incumbent, our campaign relies on the generous contributions from REAL individual citizens, not Big Corporate PAC Money like Ernst & Young, Deloitte, Raytheon, Leidos, Northrup Grumman, Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics. Though I am sure these multi-national corporations are wonderful companies, and I appreciate the generations-long relationship they have had with our incumbent. By receiving $1 Million per election cycle from these government contractors, it is no wonder that our incumbent’s constituents lament about how much he has changed. Maybe $8 Million doesn’t phase veteran politicians, but as a regular American citizen, all I can do is ask YOU to help our campaign along. Yes, this is a Davida and Goliath effort, but we can actually win this race with a county council budget. That is why our 35-year Old Guard incumbent has been seen actually campaigning again! He usually just takes PAC money, puts up a boatload of signs, and shakes people’s hands at the polling places. He knows he will lose his source of comfort the minute more voters know that they have such an impactful option. That’s probably why he is ducking a debate with me, but apparently, he’s not a very good debater. (Wonder how he’s survived so long as a politician. Big Money can prop up just about anyone I suppose). Besides, I really don’t want to give up our country to Socialism. Even if he says he’s not a socialist, he will not stand up to the out of control faction that has obviously taken over my former party. It is a major reason why I left the Democratic Party. It doesn’t represent our traditions any longer. If we can only show that the American Citizens still have a say in their congress. This district. Our Supporters investing in this race. Last week we had a major high and a relatively not so great low. Start with the low. Remember when I told you that I had an opportunity to participate in a televised panel discussion about the mid-terms, but was blocked because of the FCC “Equal Air Time” Rule? Well, we wanted to release a statement about it using a PR service. And yes, you guessed it, our press release about media bias was blocked from being sent out to the press. (See Below)
The reason I continue to bring up media bias or hyper-partisan gerrymandering or the power of the Old Guard is that I really still believe that American Citizens ought to still have the ability to choose their representatives. And they cannot choose them, if they do not even know what their options are. And to the great news of the week. We got an awesome media hit after all!! Thanks to one of my campaign supporters, I was interviewed by Neil McCabe from One America News. You may not be familiar with OAN. It’s the “other” cable news network that has been blocked from Comcast so that more Americans (again) do not have access to more information. CLICK BELOW TO WATCH THE VIDEO. There are already 4K views and that’s before we pushed it out. By the way, $275 has been donated just from people watching this brief interview. Can you imagine if this campaign had more coverage and support. Talk about case in point. “They” do not want people to know about our campaign because the moment it catches fire one of the biggest “cash cow” big-time entrenched politicians will lose his seat! The American People will win back one more seat in their Congress.
It is crystal clear, we need to ramp up our fundraising efforts to acquire more tools to get our campaign out to voters. I hate to say I told you so, but once again I was blocked from a mainstream media hit last night. This time they pulled The FCC “equal-time” rule, a rule that was made to protect challenge and “minority” candidates like me. The 35-year Power House incumbent and his operatives are using it to stop any traction our campaign may create. They know that with a county council campaign budget ($150K) we will blow him out of the water. The votes are there. We just need the voters to know Liz Matory for Congress. But Dutch’s fat cat lobbyist need him to continue to do their bidding (70% of his money comes from them anyway). Countless citizens tell us everyday that Dutch doesn’t represent them anymore. THANK GOD for independent media.
